The valley is located in central NY, between Sleepy Hollow
and Rochester, where the Fox sister's began the spiritualist movement. Ghost hunting is still popular in the region. My aunt leads spirit hunting trips to graveyards throughout the valley.
I been photographing my family in the valley for over 8 years.
This blog is a sample of that work as well as a look at local history and folklore. It's also a notebook for thoughts and examinations on the nature of photography, particularly the uncanny, ghostly nature of the medium.
